Sharing some pericopes from the interview with Ella : 1. How it feels to be an ' entrepreneur'? As an Entrepreneur my capabilities are fully utilised. Its not really about freedom or power. Its it about direction and focus. Being an entrepreneur is a long awaited calling. 2. How the idea of 'yellow marigold homes' initiated at first? What was the concept behind keeping this name? Yellow Marigold as an idea has been a lingering on for long. It has always been there in some form or the other. Direction was clear and It still is a massive work in progress. Yellow Marigold is bright, happy and pure. It’s beautiful and has appeal parallel to none. Its unadulterated. It’s universal. It is boundless like sun rays. 3. What makes you different from others in this field? The designs, the quality and our relationship with our customers. We are a minimalist brand. Every product is high on function and beautiful. 4. Your challenges Every business comes with its own set of challenges. Ours is logistics heavy, fragile category business. Design is critical in this heavy on competition market. Ensuring that we deliver seamlessly with all these challenges makes it exciting. We deliver ceramic tableware all over India. Our Packaging is something which is absolute perfection. We have a breakage ratio of <0.25%. That’s the design led approach we take on our challenges. 5. Your flaws and how you manage to overcome them? None that cannot be handled. I am quite resilient. And that resilience overshadows most of my flaws. 6. Mantra of success Design led approach. Consistency and excellence in execution. Simplification is the key.
