I think my success mantra is simple, if you want something work for it. Too often we just wish for it.

PHILOSOPHY AND IDEAS:We live in a patriarchal world where a woman’s ambitions are often frowned upon, I’ve been lucky that I have never had to encounter that. When I got married I was blessed with an additional set of parents who not just believed in me and my dreams but also encouraged me to follow them, every step of the way. Both my mothers’ are extremely independent and smart women who reinforce, every single day, that there is nothing we cannot achieve. I have already spoken about my grandfather and his impact on my aunts, uncle and dad and to this day when I talk to my Buas it is often about what we are reading and who we want to read next. My mausi, who is among the strongest women I know has been among my loudest cheerleaders right from the beginning. My mami who has told me some incredible stories that have fueled my imagination. My nani who loves her fiction and who introduced me to Harry Potter when I was 9. It remains among my favorites. My sisters Avani and Shelly have been like rocks in this journey and I am so proud of both of them and the women they are becoming every day. Ranjana aunty who’s work ethic, knowledge and nature I have admired since I was a child. We share not just an alma mater but also a bond that can’t quite be explained. I am so grateful for this tribe of amazing women who have helped me get where I am today. My approach to writing has changed dramatically in the last few months. I think a lot of it has to do with the world we are living in today. Earlier I'd write on whatever I felt like and predominantly for myself, I never really sat down and thought about what I want to say or what impact I can make. 2020 as a year has been challenging for everyone and we've all been forced to look at our lives differently, for me, I began to feel that I should try and use this skill and do whatever little I can to make people feel better or think harder.
